We are still alive!
I have been slacking lately! We don't have internet at home so I have to blog from work which means I can't download pictures. So a post with no pictures is kind of lame, but I thought that I would update those who still read this blog. First update, WE ARE DONE WITH SPRING SEMESTER! And we could not be more excited for summer! I will be graduating at the end of this year and i'm so excited about it I can hardly stand it! This summer I will be working part time at the bank and also doing my internship. I am doing my intership at a place called the Family Support Center and it is just down the street from my work and our apartment so it has worked out perfectly. It is a mid-way home for abuse or neglected children. So it is where children stay when child protective services pulls them from their homes and before they are placed in foster care. It has been one of the hardest things I have seen, but one of the greatest blessings in my life. Dave just started a new job today! He is working for Dialogue Marketing. We are SO grateful that he was able to get this job! Before school ended he found another job that was suppossed to be full time hours, during the day, Monday through Friday. He decided to take the job and told his manager at Rodizio Grill that he only wanted to work Friday and Saturday nights because he needed full time hours during the summer and Rodizio was not able to give him those kind of hours. Soon after that we found out that the manager of the new job didn't need him and promised him a job that was not available. We were really upset to find this out since he had pretty much left his other job so he could be available for this new one. But there wasn't much that we could do so Dave started applying for other jobs. Long story short he was hired on at Dialogue Marketing and works Monday through Friday 7-3:30. NO MORE SATURDAYS (or week day nights)! WOOT WOOT! I am so excited and very gratful that he was able to find something and that we will be able to spend more time together! We also joined a coed softball league! I was so nervous at first because i've always just been in the crowd! Never in the actual game! But it is so much fun and we have so many fun couples on the team. It's pretty legit. . .we even have jersey's! We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday with both of our families! We are so thankful for the AMAZING mother's in our lives and all they do for us! We love both of you! A couple of months ago we got our first church callings in our new ward as married people! Dave was called to the eleven year old scouts and I was called to nursery. Before we met with the bishopric counselor, I told Dave that I would be ok with any calling BUT the nursery. Boy did Heavenly Father show me. So far I have enjoyed my time in the nursery and the kids are so stinkin cute! We have been so blessed these past couple weeks and are very thankful for the jobs we have and that we are able to go to school (even though we don't seem very grateful when we are in the middle of a semester). I know we are where we're suppossed to be right now and doing what we're supposed to be doing. Happy summer everybody!
