Our Marriage Turned One

This past weekend we celebrated our one year anniversary! Can you believe it has already been a whole year!?! It went by so fast for us, we can't believe it! For our anniversary we were able to spend the weekend in Park City! It was so nice to be able to get away for the weekend and relax just the two of us! Davis works on the weekends so it was so fun to be able to spend some time together! We headed up on Friday night after work and went to the hotel to check in. When they found out it was our anniversary they upgraded our room and put us in a suite! That night we just went out to dinner and then made a little stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for an apple pie carmel apple. Delicious! On Saturday we went to the outlet malls and did a little shopping! After we headed over to Olympic Park and watched them practicing the long jump. After we went and saw the movie Columbiana. It was very intense, but we enjoyed it! We shared our anniversary with the Byu vs. Utah game. And we had told ourselves that we weren't going to watch it because of how competitive we both are, well mostly me, and we wanted it to be an enjoyable weekend. Well when game time came around we both agreed that we didn't want to miss a good game, and the byu vs utah game has always been a good game right? Wrong. We ended up watching it and my cougs got slaughtered! 54-10! Oh it was bad. I actually ended up falling asleep by the time the fourth quarter rolled around. We were very nice to each other about the game though and Dave was nice enough not to rub it in my face. Even though the game was humiliating I am still a cougs fan. On Sunday we headed to Old Main Street. One of my FAVORITE things to do in Park City! They had a Farmer's market going on the day so it was fun to just walk around! On our way home we stopped and visited our grandparents. It was good to have the time to see and visit with them for a while. It ended up being such a fun and relaxing weekend and it was so good to reminisce and talk about our wedding day. For our anniversary I made a movie of wedding pictures and video of our wedding day. It turned out pretty cute and it was so fun to watch! Your wedding day is so crazy so you don't even realize what is going on around you so it was fun to have video of the day! I am so glad that I chose to marry this boy a year ago and that he chose to marry me. I love him so stinkin much and I am so grateful for everything he does for us. I am a lucky girl to have such a good husband who works so hard to bless my life everyday. I have grown so much this past year and learned so much from marriage. It isn't always easy, but it is SO worth it. I love you Davis and can't wait for what is to come! Forever and ever :)
